Envisioned initially to support Black and Brown executive women and the allies who walk beside them, this space has evolved into a sanctuary for high-achieving women who often find themselves overworked, under-recognized, and needing a community that truly sees them.

A place where women in leadership can gather without code-switching, overexplaining, or minimizing their ambition. A place where wholeness is prioritized, and your story is honored.

The Happy Executive Woman® began as a love letter—and a lifeline.

It was born from my desire to share the truth-the kind of truth rarely spoken out loud—with a larger community of Black and Brown women who know what it feels like to lead while being unseen.

My journey as a Black woman in executive leadership has been filled with both triumph and trauma.

There were moments when I was the only one in the room, and moments when I watched systems pit Black and Brown women against one another in subtle—and not-so-subtle—ways.

I’ve had ideas stolen by managers I once trusted.
When I spoke up, I was dismissed, gaslighted—made to feel like I was “too sensitive” or imagining things.

As a single mother, I’ve hidden parts of my life so I wouldn’t be judged by the harmful stereotypes that too often define Black women in the workplace.

I’ve endured domestic abuse behind closed doors, and shown up to work each morning with a smile—only to be labeled “difficult to work with” when I quietly unraveled.

I’ve been ignored, overlooked, interrupted, and made invisible… even as I carried teams and companies on my back.

And yes, I’ve had bosses who were “Karens” long before that label had a name.
But here’s the thing:

Not every Karen stays a Karen.

Some of them do the work.
Some realize their silence was complicity.
Some get uncomfortable… and stay in the conversation anyway.
Those women? They're welcome here too.

Because this space isn’t just about venting—it's about vision.

It’s about building something new. Together.

So yes, The Happy Executive Woman® was created for Black and Brown women like me who needed a safe place to exhale, recalibrate, and thrive. But it’s also for the former Karens who are finally ready to listen, learn, and lead differently. The ones who are ready to do more than just say they care—they show it, consistently.

This movement is rooted in resilience, but it’s also built on radical hope—hope that we can change the corporate landscape, rewrite our leadership stories, and create workplaces where no woman has to shrink, switch, or suffer to succeed.

This is more than a membership.
It’s a reclamation.
It’s a remembering.
It’s a homecoming—for those who have been dismissed, overlooked, or misunderstood for far too long.
